Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) recently made a series of unusual moves on his personal BNB chain address, sending a large number of Memecoins to a burn address, sparking speculation in the crypto community.
What happened on the blockchain?
Previously, many Memecoins were sent to Zhao's personal address. He later transferred some significant amounts of tokens to a destroyed wallet, an address from which the assets could not be recovered. The blogger interprets this move as a symbolic act, indicating that Zhao still cares about Binance users after stepping down as CEO.
CZ explains why the tokens were burned.
Zhao Changpeng refuted these speculations, stating that there was no deeper meaning behind the transactions. He claimed that he hadn't checked the wallet in a long time, and upon opening it, found thousands of different tokens, many of which were likely sent as spam.
A large amount of assets caused the wallet interface to incorrectly display the balance. Zhao stated that he suggested improving the token display system and tested the updated functionality. He believed that transferring unwanted tokens back to his own address was pointless, so he sent them directly to the burn address.
The blogger's first theory is not the first time
This isn't the first time Crypto Xiaoyu has built a narrative around Zhao and several BNB chain memecoins. He has directly linked two projects to Zhao, claiming that $TCC launched a new BNB chain memecoin season through a collaboration with Zhao, and implying that the person behind $AB has a personal relationship with Zhao.
Zhao Changpeng later denied any connection with these projects, stating that he did not own the tokens and was unaware of their creators.

Nevertheless, speculation about Zhao Wallet's activities continues.
