Foreign media reports that Binance Research states that Generation Z investors are entering traditional financial markets earlier and are allocating their investments more conservatively than commonly perceived. The report shows that this group is more likely to invest in established technology companies, with NVIDIA being their most common first investment.

Start investing earlier

Among Generation Z, 30% started investing in college or early adulthood, higher than Millennials' 15%, Generation X's 9%, and Baby Boomers' 6%. The report also stated that 77% of Generation Z investors received formal financial education before entering the market.

New users are mainly from emerging markets.

Binance states that over 90% of TradeFi users come from emerging markets, with Gen Z users accounting for 95%. Among its definition of Next Gen Users, investors with assets under $2,000 have contributed $80 billion in TradeFi trading volume this year, representing a monthly growth rate of approximately 24%.

Technology stocks are more popular than speculative stocks.

The report shows that leveraged ETFs accounted for only 5.9% of Gen Z trading, the lowest among all generations. NVIDIA was the most common first investment for Next Gen Users at 20%, followed closely by Micron at 8%. Binance believes this reflects that young investors are more willing to allocate to AI and semiconductor-related assets rather than chasing short-term fluctuations.
