According to CoinMeta, political analyst Nate Silver stated that due to the unpopular war in Iran continuing and the soaring gasoline prices, President Trump’s support rate has dropped to a new low since his second term. He said, “The timing coincides highly with the increase in natural gas prices and the resumption of hostilities with Iran.” As the war approaches its sixth month, data from the American Automobile Association (AAA) shows that as of Friday morning, the average price of gasoline in the United States was about $4.11 per gallon, higher than the approximately $3.15 per gallon from a year ago. According to the average data from Decision Desk HQ polls, as of Friday morning, Trump’s overall average support rate was 40.6%, with an average disapproval rate of 57.5%. A survey by Quinnipiac University found that 60% of American voters oppose this war, which is the highest proportion of opposition since the conflict began on February 28th. Nearly three-quarters of Americans said they do not support sending U.S. troops to Iran. A AP-NORC poll also showed that 64% of Americans believe this war is “not worth it.” Among them, 87% of Democratic voters, 37% of Republican voters, and 68% of independent voters hold this view.
