According to CoinMeta, Strategy announced an expansion of its Bitcoin sales plan, allowing the company to sell Bitcoin not only for purchases but also to use the newly raised funds for reserves, debt costs, and stock repurchases. This shift marks a more flexible strategy in managing Bitcoin holdings by the company. Strategy can now use these funds for US dollar reserves, preferred stock dividends, interest payments, and stock repurchases. Strategy reported that as of July 26, it had earned $218.4 million from Bitcoin sales, with nearly all of this coming from the sale of 3,588 Bitcoins between June 29 and July 5. Strategy still considers Bitcoin its main financial reserve asset, but management now views Bitcoin as a source of liquidity to support the company's broader financial obligations.
