According to CoinMeta, as reported by US media Semafor, the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee has released a draft funding legislation that will provide funds for the government until December 11 and has prevented a new rule from taking effect. This new rule would have allowed the government to cancel appropriations for blue states. Senator Collins stated that the bill "prevents the proposed rules on federal financial assistance by the Office of Management and Budget ( OMB) from taking effect." Senator Murray said, "This bill prevents the implementation of this new corrupt appropriation rule OMB during the validity period of the continuing resolution. The proposed rule would systematically politicize federal funds and allow Trump administration officials to cancel appropriations at any time for any reason."
