According to CoinMeta, Ripple has announced a strategic investment in British fund technology company Zilo and the tokenized trading platform Liciudo which is regulated by FCA. This investment aims to integrate the regulated digital transfer agency, asset issuance, and collateral liquidity capabilities into XRP Ledger. Ripple stated that the related infrastructure will support tokenized funds to be used as collateral from the issuance stage onwards, and atomic settlement will be enabled through XRPL. RLUSD can then serve as the regulated cash side in collateralized transactions. The amount of the investment has not been disclosed.
