Peter Loo has over 25 years of experience across different jurisdictions and previously served as the General Legal Counsel and Head of Industry Development at the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), participating in the establishment of virtual asset licensing, market conduct, and enforcement frameworks. They have also held senior legal and compliance positions at institutions such as Barclays Capital, MF Global, and Amber Group. Bybit stated that this appointment is aimed at further strengthening the global regulatory framework, advancing applications for licenses in key markets, and supporting the company's transformation into an integrated compliance financial platform that covers trading, payments, custody, and asset management.
