According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Chainalysis reported that Hexagate discovered that the LPDFI protocol had suffered an attack worth approximately $700,000. The attackers artificially drove up the price of LPD tokens by 71 times on DEX using lightning loans amounting to about $44 million. Subsequently, they used only about $2 million in tokens to forge a fake deposit of around $140 million and, after crossing the daily interest settlement limit of the protocol, collected the interest generated by these inflated positions, triggering the protocol to liquidate the entire liquidity pool and transfer the funds. After repaying the lightning loans, the attackers made a profit of about $700,000 and transferred their gains through Relay LINK and Tornado Cash.
