Dow Jones futures rose by about 0.2%, S&P 500 index futures rose by about 0.1%, and Nasdaq 100 index futures rose by 0.2%. Asian-Pacific markets opened higher on Tuesday, with the South Korean stock market leading the gains; the KOSPI index rose by 1.46%, and small-cap stocks KOSDAQ rose by 3%. Japan's Nikkei 225 index also rose by 0.7%. Falling oil prices provided additional support for the stock market, with WTI crude oil prices dropping by 5.1% to close at $80.34 per barrel.
