Ethereum developers submit a core EIP draft, proposing to gradually phase out some validator rewards

According to CoinMeta, Wu said that multiple Ethereum developers have submitted drafts for the “tapered issuance burn” core updates, proposing to gradually eliminate some validator rewards based on the overall network staking ratio. When the staked balance reaches approximately 60.25 million ETH, which is close to 50% of the total supply, the related issuance rewards will be completely canceled, so as not to encourage further growth in staking volumes. The proposal suggests setting a transition period of about 18 months to mitigate the decrease in validators' earnings. Currently, the draft does not have an official EIP number, and it is also undecided whether it will be included in subsequent network upgrades.
