According to CoinMeta, Samsung recently announced that it will add support for stablecoins to 800 million new smartphones, which could potentially make it a major distributor of stablecoins. Samsung has been involved in the crypto industry for several years, having launched a digital asset wallet in 2019 that allows users to store and manage cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Polkadot. Samsung stated that this strategic move will position it as a leading distributor of stablecoins like USDC. During its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, Samsung outlined its expansion plans, stating that over 800 million smartphones will come with stablecoin functionality by default.
