According to CoinMeta, SpaceX is expanding its cooperation with NVIDIA and plans to utilize their technology to support the Starmind project, which aims to establish a network of orbital data centers for handling artificial intelligence workloads. SpaceX plans to equip its Starmind satellites with NVIDIA's Rubin graphics processing units and Vera central processing units. This hardware is part of the NVIDIA Space-1 platform and is specifically developed for processing and other computational workloads in orbit. SpaceX's broader plans still require approval from U.S. regulatory authorities; the company applied for permission in January, aiming to launch and operate up to 1 million non-geosynchronous satellites.
