According to CoinMeta, the United States will ban the export of tungsten waste and recycled battery materials later this month. Less than a week ago, U.S. President Trump authorized authorities to restrict potential key materials within the country. Under a regulation published in the U.S. Federal Register, suppliers of tungsten waste and "black powder" (i.e., a mixture of metals formed from crushed used lithium-ion batteries) will be required to sell these materials domestically. However, companies can apply for exemptions. This restriction will last for one year.
