Arthur Hayes: AI Credit bubble or boosting Bitcoin to $1 million

According to CoinMeta, co-founder Arthur Hayes stated in a new article that the current infrastructure construction is a credit story, similar to that of 2008, rather than the profit story of the internet bubble in 2000. He believes that hyperscalable computing companies borrow to support their massive data centers, even though these assets are more akin to real estate. Hayes predicts that credit flows will stop accelerating between 2027 and 2028, at which point the most vulnerable AI debts will collapse, dragging down over-leveraged investors. He also expects that Washington and Beijing will provide bailouts in the name of national security, and the printed liquidity will drive Bitcoin towards $1 million. The recent AI selling pressure is seen as a correction within a bull market; on Wednesday, Bitcoin traded near $64,200 and remained flat for the week, still within the range since May.
