In the early stages of the U.S.-Iranian war, the global diesel market became chaotic, and Ukraine's months-long attacks on Russian refining facilities further exacerbated supply pressures, making the United States one of the few countries in the world with sufficient diesel production capacity. U.S. diesel exports have exceeded 1.5 million barrels per day for five consecutive weeks.
