Bitgo Transfers $7.4 Billion WBTC to Chainlink CCIP to Expand Its Leading Position in Cross-Chain Technology

According to CoinMeta, Bitgo announced the migration of approximately $7.4 billion worth of WBTC to the cross-chain interoperability protocol (CCIP) of Chainlink, in order to enhance its leading position in cross-chain infrastructure. This move transfers around $7.4 billion worth of tokenized Bitcoin to the infrastructure of Chainlink. The publicly announced total value of the migration from LayerZero to CCIP is approximately $14.6 billion. Chainlink, co-founder of Sergey Nazarov, stated that the growth of the network is driven by security, reliability, and connectivity, and the migration to Bitgo reflects the growing demand for secure cross-chain infrastructure. In addition, he expects similar adoption of other token assets as well.
