According to CoinMeta, AI "Godfather" Yang Likun ( Yann LeCun ) and Gemini former co-technical director Oriol Vinyals have officially joined the newly established venture capital firm AI 224 Ventures. The fund currently manages assets worth over 100 million US dollars and is operated by AIX Ventures former founder Shaun Johnson. 224 Ventures mainly invests in early-stage AI companies, with each investment ranging from 1 million to 5 million US dollars, targeting companies with a valuation of less than 100 million US dollars. The core early-stage fund aims to have a scale of 81 million US dollars and has already raised over 30 million US dollars, with an expected total management scale of at least 150 million US dollars. Yang Likun and Vinyals will be involved in project scouting, technical evaluation, and voting decisions. The majority of the fund's investors come from the AI industry.
