According to CoinMeta, startup Hadrian announced on Thursday that its latest round of financing has raised the company’s valuation to $7.9 billion, quadrupling its valuation from January. Hadrian focuses on building advanced factories for defense and aerospace companies and institutions; this round of financing, amounting to nearly $1.4 billion, was led by Baillie Gifford, JPMorgan Chase’s Strategic Investment Group, and other investors. CEO Chris Power stated that the company’s Opus software is already being used by the Army and Navy, and Hadrian will soon announce additional defense partners. Hadrian is the latest in a series of high-profile defense financings, influenced by Trump’s push for U.S. military reindustrialization. Trump plans to invest an unprecedented $1.5 trillion in defense to address geopolitical tensions.
