According to CoinMeta, the Optimism Foundation has released an annual budget update and a forecast for the next fiscal year. It is estimated that from May 2026 to April 2027, approximately 342.9 million OP tokens will enter circulation, including 200 million from the ecosystem fund, 47.6 million from early core contributors, and 15.3 million from investors. The total circulating supply is expected to increase to around 2.504 billion OP tokens, accounting for 58.3% of the total supply. The foundation emphasizes that all these tokens come from the initial allocation framework, and no additional token allocations have been requested. The budget update is intended solely to enhance transparency.
