According to CoinMeta, Optimism released its annual budget update for April 2023 and its outlook for May 2023 on August 6. It is estimated that by April 2027, the circulating supply will reach 2.504 billion OP, which accounts for approximately 58.3% of the project's reported total supply of 4.295 billion. According to a statement from the foundation, it is expected that around 3.43 million OP will enter circulation between May 2026 and April 2027. The foundation stated that no new token allocations have been requested and will continue to operate within the existing allocation framework. The ecosystem fund for May 2023 is expected to be the largest category, with an estimated 200 million OP entering circulation. The foundation also expects to release 47.6 million OP to early core contributors, 15.3 million OP to investors, and 10 million OP for the management of the fund.
