According to CoinMeta, Tether is expanding its asset tokenization platform, with Saudi Arabia as the first destination, focusing on real estate. The company stated on Thursday that its tokenization platform, named Hadron, will provide technical support for institutional investors in that country to issue and manage tokenized real estate assets. Tether is collaborating with Saudi partners First Data and fintech company BKN301. In the future, the platform’s operations may be extended to other real assets such as energy and infrastructure financing. This announcement marks Tether’s latest effort to expand beyond stablecoins into the field of tokenization. Tether launched Hadron in 2024 to simplify asset tokenization and is the issuer of the largest tokenized gold offering, worth $2.6 billion, known as XAUT. It is estimated that the tokenized securities market could reach $5.5 trillion by 2030. Saudi Arabia has become one of the markets exploring this technology as part of its economic diversification strategy for 2030.
