According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Yemeni government sources, on August 6th, military camps of the Yemeni government forces in Marib and Hadramaw provinces were attacked, resulting in at least 30 deaths among Yemeni government troops, with the number of casualties likely to rise. Yahya Sarea, a spokesman for the Houthi rebels in Yemen, issued a video statement on that day announcing missile and drone attacks on what he referred to as "Saudi military deployments" in those two provinces. He claimed that hundreds of "pro-Saudi militants" were killed or injured, and military camps, weapon depots, and vehicles were destroyed.
