According to CoinMeta, Wintermute announced that its US subsidiary, Wintermute USA LLC, has registered as a broker with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Agency (FINRA). This registration enables Wintermute to expand traditional financial services in the United States and to prepare for the growth of tokenized securities. Wintermute stated that the registration will allow them to trade stocks and stock options, as well as to act as an authorized participant in exchange-traded products, including those related to digital assets. The founder and CEO of Wintermute, Evgeny Gaevoy, indicated that the digital asset market will develop in various ways, and digital assets and traditional finance will continue to develop in parallel, intersecting in new ways and ultimately integrating more deeply.
