According to CoinMeta, the 30-year fixed mortgage rate in the United States rose to 6.69% on August 6, up from 6.66% the previous week. Meanwhile, the 15-year fixed mortgage rate fell from 6.04% to 6.01%. Borrowers are paying attention to Treasury yields and the upcoming U.S. employment report, as these two factors may affect the trend of mortgage rates. According to data from Freddie Mac, the increase in the 30-year mortgage rate is closely related to changes in Treasury yields, with the current 10-year Treasury yield being around 4.67%.
