The U.S. Senate delays consideration of the Digital Assets Market Clarification Act until September

According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Senate has decided to postpone the deliberation of the Digital Assets Market Clarification Act ( Clarity Act ) until September, as legislators were unable to reach an agreement before the August recess. Senate Majority Leader John Thune stated that Democrats opposed voting before the recess and hoped to continue negotiations on the crypto market structure bill. This postponement provides senators with more time to address ethical rules, banking concerns, and other controversial provisions. The bill still requires sufficient bipartisan support to pass the Senate's 60-vote threshold.
