The U.S. Senate delays voting on the Clear Act until September

According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Senate has postponed the voting on the Clearing House Act until September, resulting in the proposal for a digital asset market structure being delayed until after the August recess. Senate Majority Leader John Thune confirmed this delay, stating that Democratic senators failed to provide procedural support, which further postponed the consideration of crypto legislation. The bill (H.R.3633) aims to establish a federal market structure for digital assets and delineate the regulatory responsibilities between the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This delay caused a slight decline in the crypto market, with the total market value falling by 0.6% to currently $2.27 trillion. Analysts expect that as the market absorbs this delay, there may be slight fluctuations in Bitcoin and major altcoins in the short term. Although the chances of the bill passing this year have decreased, most people consider this to be just a postponement, not a setback.
