ETF $276 million in capital inflows drive growth of high-yield bond retail funds

According to CoinMeta, due to statements suggesting a easing of tensions in the Middle East, from July 30 to August 5, high-yield retail funds saw an inflow of approximately $276 million. Of this, $2.37 billion came mainly from a rush of capital into ETF. This inflow offset the outflow of $692 million from last week, which was distributed between ETF and mutual funds. This was the largest single-week inflow since April 9-15, which also coincided with a fragile peace outlook. With the positive data this week, the total inflow for 2026 has reached $3.54 billion, largely thanks to a net inflow of $5.92 billion into ETF, which offset the outflow of $2.38 billion from mutual funds.
