According to CoinMeta, Russia's largest exchanges are preparing to launch crypto trading, following the adoption of a new law supporting cryptocurrencies in the country. The Moscow Exchange (MOEX) and the Saint Petersburg Exchange (SPB) are getting ready to offer regulated crypto trading services, with the new framework taking effect on September 1st. The Russian Central Bank is finalizing the rules for exchanges and digital asset infrastructure. The Moscow Exchange dominates Russia's financial market, handling approximately 92% to 95% of domestic stock transactions, and its entry marks an important step for crypto assets towards becoming part of the country's mainstream financial system.
