According to CoinMeta, users have reported that when using MetaMask, ETH automatically converts to WETH. Users stated that they exported the private key of their Robinhood chain wallet from a FOMO trading application and imported it into MetaMask. Subsequently, they sent ETH from another MetaMask wallet to Robinhood and converted it to ETH on the Robinhood chain, before finally sending it to the imported FOMO wallet. However, when the transaction arrived, they received WETH instead of the native ETH. Despite attempting to unpack WETH on the Robinhood chain, a few seconds later, the native ETH balance in the wallet automatically converted back to WETH. Users are wondering why this occurred or what they might have done wrong.
