2026-08-09 14:09:22
According to CoinMeta, as reported by Cointelegraph, the BTCPay servers have temporarily restricted public remote connections to Lightning Network nodes running LND software. Attackers exploited vulnerabilities to obtain credentials and transfer funds. BTCPay stated that this restriction prevents external wallets such as Zeus from connecting via the BTCPay server domain name. BTCPay also mentioned that Lightning payments can continue, and there are plans to restore remote access options once it is deemed safe.
