According to CoinMeta, and as reported by American media, due to the war with Iran, there is a severe shortage of ammunition for the U.S. military. As a result, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) is urging defense contractors to accelerate the production and delivery of weapons. On the 5th of this month, Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert Workman sent a letter to the heads of these companies, demanding that they submit plans within 21 days with the goal of significantly increasing the speed of weapon delivery and boosting the production capacity of key equipment. Workman also asked these contractors to propose specific capital investment and facility expansion plans to break through the long development cycles that have persisted for years. Sean Parnell, a spokesperson for the DoD, confirmed the authenticity of this memorandum. A senior U.S. military commander warned that the Pentagon's ammunition reserves have “dropped to a dangerous level.”
