S&P 500 futures remain flat as investors focus on the Hormuz Strait agreement and inflation data

According to CoinMeta, S&P 500 futures were flat on Sunday night, as investors' concerns about whether the United States and Iran could reach an agreement to open the Strait of Hormuz intensified. WTI Crude oil prices rose by 1%, reaching over $79 per barrel. Last week, comments from the Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent suggested that an agreement was near, but Trump stated on Sunday that the negotiations between the U.S. and Iran were merely "half-negotiations," hoping that the other side would feel economic pressure. Investors will be closely watching the consumer and producer price indices to be released this week for the latest inflation data.
