Netanyahu Rejects Trump's Gaza Plan, U.S. Tones Down Tensions

According to CoinMeta, Netanyahu reiterated his rejection of Trump's latest Gaza plan during a cabinet meeting, despite the Israeli military having largely ceased attacks on Gaza under pressure from the United States. Netanyahu stated that Israel would not withdraw its forces until Hamas completely disarmed and that he faced domestic pressure ahead of the elections on October 27th. After Trump's envoy Nikolai Mladnov met with Netanyahu, Israel began reducing attacks on Gaza starting Monday, with the military only taking action in response to direct threats. Hamas official Basem Naim said that the organization remained committed to the roadmap agreed upon in Cairo and called on mediators and Washington to pressure Netanyahu not to hinder the process for domestic political reasons. American officials said that the White House was not disturbed by Netanyahu's public rejection of the plan, considering it part of Israel's election season, and as long as Netanyahu maintained restraint towards Gaza, Washington had no issues with it.
