Hong Hao: Ordinary people should avoid high-leverage ETF investments
2026-08-10 12:00:24
According to CoinMeta, renowned economist Hong Hao stated in an interview on "Binance Lounge" that he does not recommend investors to buy leveraged products such as SK HyperX on a two-fold long position basis. He believes that such products are essentially amplifiers of the gamma effect, and their trading mechanisms dictate that investors must continuously buy during upward trends and continuously sell during downward trends. Hong Hao pointed out that during the current deleveraging phase, if investors are not using leverage and did not buy at the peak, there is no need for excessive panic, as the relevant technology companies are still generating real profits, and these profits are growing quite significantly. Additionally, the AI technological revolution is also developing rapidly. Furthermore, he mentioned that credit expansion, rising leverage, major trends, and relaxed financial regulations are all necessary and sufficient conditions for the formation of bubbles.
