Australia suspends Cryptolink crypto ATM operations for three months
2026-08-10 19:24:57
According to CoinMeta, the Australian Transaction and Reporting Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) announced that due to ongoing compliance issues with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing regulations, it has suspended the registration of the crypto ATM operator Cryptolink Pty Ltd for three months starting from August 9th. During this period, the 96 crypto ATM facilities operated by the company in Australia are not allowed to continue operating. AUSTRAC stated that although Cryptolink had fulfilled the relevant conditions of its previous rectification commitments, it subsequently failed to fulfill its basic reporting obligations, including failing to submit required large transaction reports and not responding to information requests from regulatory authorities. In October 2025, Cryptolink was fined A$56,340 by AUSTRAC for alleged delays in submitting large transaction reports and deficiencies in its AML / CTF risk assessments.
