Bitget Announces Compensation for Affected Users, with a Total Compensation of Nearly 40 Million US Dollars

According to CoinMeta, Xie Jiayin, the person in charge of Bitget's Greater China region, stated that in response to the abnormal price marking incidents on August 9th for three currency pairs including TUT, Bitget will provide compensation to eligible affected users, with the total compensation amount approaching 40 million US dollars. The compensation will be calculated based on the user's account equity at 15:00 on that day, to cover losses incurred due to forced liquidation of short positions during the period of abnormal price fluctuations. Xie Jiayin also mentioned that Bitget will continue to uphold the concept of being a "warm-hearted exchange" and persist in protecting users' rights and interests. After the incident is resolved, the platform will continue to conduct a review and promote continuous iteration of its products and related mechanisms.
