According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Yahoo Finance, international oil prices rose on Tuesday, with Brent crude reaching $90 per barrel at one point, and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures increasing by 1.8% to $83.62. Despite the uncertainty brought about by rising oil prices, stock index futures saw a slight increase; the S&P 500 futures rose by 0.22%, and Nasdaq 100 futures rose by 0.46%. Iran stated that it is in negotiations with Oman regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, but Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that resuming talks is hopeless without the United States abiding by the memorandum of understanding. Trump demanded that Iran pay compensation for those killed in the conflict. Rising energy prices have sparked investors' concerns about inflation, with the yield on 10-year Treasury bonds climbing above 4.7%, near last month's high. The Consumer Price Index for July will be released on Wednesday, and the Producer Price Index will be released on Thursday.
