Tether: The world's largest private gold holder closes its gold lending platform

According to CoinMeta, Tether has announced that it will shut down its gold-backed lending platform Alloy, and users need to withdraw their assets before September 17th. Tether currently holds over 146 metric tons of gold, valued at approximately $18.8 billion, making it the world's largest private gold holder. The company stated that this closure is aimed at focusing resources on products with greater user demand, particularly XAUT.
