OpenAI Launches Linux Version of ChatGPT Desktop Application

According to CoinMeta, OpenAI has announced the launch of the Linux version of the ChatGPT desktop application, which is currently in the preview stage. This application integrates ChatGPT, Work, and Codex into a single application, allowing Linux users to finally enjoy a desktop experience similar to that of macOS and Windows. It currently supports Ubuntu versions 24.04, 26.04, LTS, Debian 13, as well as Fedora versions 43 and 44, and also provides x64 and arm64 versions. About a month ago, Anthropic also launched the Claude desktop version. With the follow-up from OpenAI, both companies' AI desktop applications are now officially available on Linux.
