According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin Policy Institute ( BPI ) stated in an open letter released on Monday that as the threats from the AI auxiliary network become increasingly complex, developers need to have trusted access to top-tier AI models. BPI calls on leading AI laboratories to provide support for developers of Bitcoin and other open-source financial infrastructure, to ensure they can effectively respond to potential cyberattacks. The letter mentions that the current gap in secure access allows developers to rely on less capable models, which may lead to serious security vulnerabilities affecting over one trillion dollars in capital. Several major cryptocurrency companies, including Kraken and Ledger, have joined this call for support.
