Miden Launches Privacy-Protected USDC Supporting Stablecoins
2026-08-12 23:05:30
According to CoinMeta, Miden is planning to launch a privacy-protected stablecoin supported by Circle’s USDC, which is expected to go live simultaneously with its mainnet. This stablecoin, USDCX, will be backed 1:1 by the stablecoin of Circle. Users will be able to hold and transfer USDCX without disclosing their balances, counterparties, or transaction history. Miden is a zero-knowledge blockchain based in California that aims to provide default privacy for applications while allowing users to selectively disclose information when needed. This product is designed to address one of the biggest limitations of public blockchains in institutional finance: transparency. Miden believes that USDCX will become the foundation for its broader “Prifi” category, covering private institutional transactions, B2B payments, salary payments, cross-border payments, and corporate financial management.
