According to CoinMeta, the volume of ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz has reached its lowest level in nearly three months due to the uncertain prospects for an agreement between the United States and Iran. On Tuesday, the five-day average volume of ship traffic was around 13 vessels, which is nearly the lowest level since May 12th. Compared to the average of 130 vessels per day before the US and Israeli attacks on Iran on February 28th, the traffic has decreased by about 90%. Energy Secretary Chris Wright stated that despite the decline in traffic, Iran's oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz still reached an average of nearly 9 million barrels per day over a seven-day period. Wright added that the total oil exports from Gulf countries, including those via pipelines, average around 15 million barrels per day.
