Hyperliquid Turns Its Attention to the US Market
2026-08-13 03:06:56
According to CoinMeta, Hyperliquid is shifting its focus to the US market. This move comes at an important time for the crypto industry, as Hyperliquid has grown to become one of the largest trading venues for crypto perpetual contracts. US regulators are working to determine how derivatives, decentralized exchanges, and other on-chain financial products should fit into a regulatory system dominated by centralized intermediaries. The current trading interface of Hyperliquid is closed to US users, and its blockchain is considered illegal in the United States. The terms of use of Hyperliquid classify individuals and entities located in the US as “restricted persons,” prohibiting them from using that interface. The policy center of Hyperliquid has made this issue a core part of its strategy in Washington, seeking to provide Americans with a “clear compliance path” to access the on-chain market. This policy center was established in Washington in February 2026 and is led by crypto lawyer Jake Chervinsky. Hyperliquid has recorded significant growth, with prices rising by 79.2% in the second quarter. This is the second consecutive quarter that HYPE has outperformed the broader crypto market.
