According to CoinMeta, Trump has been sued for charging fees of up to $100,000 for his Truth Social service. The plaintiffs include The Interceptor and the Freedom of Information Foundation, who accuse Trump and his companies of granting preferential access, which may affect the U.S. financial market. The indictment requests the court to stop such arrangements, arguing that they interfere with the ability of news organizations to report on government news equally. In July, Trump's media company launched Truth API, aimed at institutional clients, with monthly contract fees ranging from $60,000 to $100,000. The service is marketed as providing low-latency data, mainly targeting high-frequency trading firms. The indictment also points out that Trump's financial interests may lead to conflicts of interest.
