According to CoinMeta, Goldman Sachs acquired a NEOS investment company for $2.25 billion and gained control of its high-yield Bitcoin ETF ( BTCI ). The Swiss National Bank revealed that it holds more than $70 million in MSTR shares, despite opposing Bitcoin as a national reserve asset. This indicates that institutional interest in the crypto industry is growing, paving the way for the development of the ecosystem. Goldman Sachs’ acquisition puts it in an important position within the crypto ETF industry and avoids delays in applying for its own ETF with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC ). The NEOS Bitcoin ETF is known as a “covered synthetic ETF”; it generates stable returns by tracking digital asset prices and selling option contracts, charging a fee of 0.99%, facing competition from Blackstone’s 0.65% fee. In documents submitted to the SEC, the Swiss National Bank disclosed that it holds 736,300 shares of MSTR in the Bitcoin Treasury Company Strategy, valued at approximately $72 million.
