According to CoinMeta, Solana ecosystem member Jacob Creech stated that last night a failure occurred with an infrastructure provider used by some validators, but the Solana network continued to produce blocks and process transactions. Among the 699 staked validators, 597 continued to vote, and about 85% of the affected validators recovered within 40 minutes. The validators in Solana Foundation Delegation Program ( SFDP ) were not affected. He mentioned that this incident demonstrates that the decentralization of infrastructure providers reduces the impact of single points of failure on the network.
