According to CoinMeta, the price of Bitcoin fell to around $63,500 on Thursday, with a intraday decline of over 0.5%, and a decrease of nearly 2% within a week. The latest inflation report from the United States failed to boost the market, although the report indicated that inflation was in line with expectations, which alleviated market tensions. The HYPE token performed exceptionally well, with a gain of over 3% to reach $56. Other major cryptocurrencies generally saw declines: Doge Coin fell by nearly 3% to 7 cents, XRP dropped by over 1% to $1, BNB fell by over 1% to $610, Solana fell by less than 1% to $76, and Ether declined slightly to $1,880. The inflation data for July was almost exactly in line with economists' forecasts, with overall inflation increasing by 0.1% month-on-month and 3.4% year-on-year. Core inflation (excluding food and energy) increased by 0.2% month-on-month and 2.5% year-on-year. These figures reduced the likelihood of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike in September, with the futures market lowering the probability of a hike from 46% to around 38%.
