Iraq's monthly oil exports rebound to 2.0 million barrels; tankers turn off transponders to evade regulation

According to CoinMeta, the Iraqi Petroleum Marketing Company stated that Iraq's oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz have soared to approximately 2 million barrels per day this month. Abu Dhabi's major energy companies are among those that purchase its crude oil and transport it via the Strait of Hormuz. Previous reports indicated that the trade department of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) transshipped goods through the Strait of Hormuz to supply Iraqi crude oil to Asian buyers. This method typically involved oil tankers turning off their transponders to avoid detection, ensuring that Middle Eastern oil continued to flow into global markets. Although this is an increase compared to the levels seen in the months following the start of the Iran war, it is still lower than the country's total daily exports of around 3.4 million barrels before the conflict.
