According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Coinbase's crypto options platform Deribit has announced that it has been granted a brokerage dealer license by the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). With this license, Deribit's spot trading services have undergone a major upgrade: spot buy, sell, and trade orders placed by users on Deribit will be directly routed to Coinbase Exchange for execution, providing customers with enhanced liquidity support as well as access to hundreds of new assets. In addition, assets obtained through the upgraded spot platform can also be used as collateral for Deribit derivative trades once they have received regulatory approval.
