Bitcoin price falls back to $63,300; CPI data fails to boost demand

According to CoinMeta, on August 13th, the price of Bitcoin fell back to $63,300 as the U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) report failed to generate sufficient demand to break through the resistance range of $64,500 to $65,000. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics report showed that inflation rose by 0.1% in July and 3.4% year-on-year, both in line with market expectations. Although Bitcoin managed to stay around $64,000 after the report on August 12th, it was unable to continue rising on the back of the more modest year-on-year data. The price then dropped from around $64,300 to a intraday low of $63,300 before slightly rebounding. The current trading price of Bitcoin is around $63,620, which represents a 0.39% decline from the previous active level. Analysts indicate that Bitcoin faced rejection in the $64,500 to $65,000 resistance range, and if the current pullback continues, $62,000 to $62,500 will be the next important support level.
